Taylor Swift reportedly snubs Meghan Markle 'personal letter' request but joins up with Prince William

Taylor Swift was spotted enjoying the company of Prince William, despite having reportedly previously declined an opportunity to work with Meghan Markle.

The heir to the throne was seen busting some lively dance moves at Taylor's Eras Tour performance at Wembley Stadium on Friday evening, June 21, before being escorted for a special backstage meeting with the chart-topping artist. Joining William for this memorable moment were his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who all posed for a selfie with Taylor, with her partner Travis Kelce also making an appearance in the photo.

The friendly interaction is quite the opposite of the cold shoulder Meghan Markle reportedly experienced when she tried to entice Taylor to participate in her Archetypes podcast with a "personal letter". It is reported that, last year, Meghan reached out to Taylor in the hope of having her on the podcast, but Taylor politely declined through a representative, according to The Telegraph. Archetypes, which ran for one season on Spotify, featured Meghan as the host for 12 episodes, with a line-up of celebrity guests including Serena Williams, Paris Hilton, and Jameela Jamil, reports the Mirror.

Meghan's podcast was later removed from Spotify. Meghan Markle has recently partnered with Lemonada Media and is set to release a new series of her podcast next year. Expressing her enthusiasm for the upcoming project earlier this year, Meghan said: "I'm proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting."

"Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works.
