Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik go fifty shades darker

Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik have released a new music video for their Fifty Shades Darker track I Don't Wanna Live Forever.

The two pop stars' collaboration was released late last year , but had not yet had an official music video.

Directed by Grant Singer and shot at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London, the two-minute long video shows the former One Direction singer trashing a neon-lit hotel room, smashing glass and throwing a champagne bottle at the wall.

Swift, seen tussling with a pillow, also seems to be suffering from separation anxiety in the song which tackles emptiness and longing.

Topics not so distant from the film's plot, starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as Christian Grey and Ana Steele, the two main characters of the Fifty Shades series.

The sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, follows the success of the first movie Fifty Shades Of Grey, which follows a literature student's dangerous attraction to a wealthy and intimidating man.

Described as "erotic, amusing and deeply moving", E L James' novel became an international success in 2011, leading to many follow-ups and its big screen adaptation.

Malik and Swift's track I Don't Wanna Live Forever currently sits at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, having previously reached number 16 in the UK and three in Australia.

The song was written specifically for the feature film by Swift, Jack Antonoff & Sam Dew.

"Wrote it with Taylor and Sam Dew and produced it at home," Antonoff said in December.

"Recorded Taylor at my house. Zayn sent parts from LA - we did it in a week basically."

Fifty Shades Darker hits UK cinemas on 10 February.
