Ted Bundy’s former girlfriend has broken her silence for the first time in decades.

Elizabeth Kendall, who had a long-term relationship with the serial murderer during his killing spree, appears in the newly released trailer for Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer, a five-part docu-series that will be released on Amazon.

Kendall met Bundy in 1969 and the pair carried on a relationship in the Seventies, with Bundy acting as a family figure for Kendall’s daughter Molly.

Falling for a Killer aims to reframe Bundy’s story by telling it through the eyes of the women around him, including Kendall, her daughter, and survivors of his attacks.

In the trailer, unveiled on Thursday, Kendall recounts the first time she met Bundy in Seattle. “I just didn’t think he could do these things,” she says of the serial murderer.

Kendall, who called the police on Bundy before he officially became a suspect for his crimes, later adds: “I fell in love with him from day one, but there were all these coincidences. I couldn’t let it go.”

Bundy killed at least 30 women across seven States. The actual number of his victims could be higher.

He was executed on 24 January, 1989 in Florida.

Kendall published a memoir titled The Phantom Prince: My Life with Ted Bundy in 1981. She’s been quiet about her relationship with Bundy since.

The book is getting re-edited in January 2020. Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on the 31 of that month.
