Tee Grizzley's aunt and manager, Jobina Brown, killed after rapper's car shot at in Detroit

The aunt and manager of US rapper Tee Grizzley was shot dead after a gunman opened fire on a car they were in.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the shooting took place on 3 Mile Drive, on Detroit's east side, at around 9pm on Tuesday.

Jobina Brown, 41, was sitting in the back seat of the car at the time of the shooting. She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

According to TMZ, both Tee Grizzley and another man who was in the vehicle were unharmed in the incident.

Tributes and support have been poured in on social media for Tee Grizzley and Ms Brown.

American rapper Lil Yachty posted on Instagram that he was "praying for my bro".

“One of my real friends. In my thoughts till I hear from you. Love you broski,” he wrote.

Fans and fellow artists expressed their shock and anger on Twitter.

Others said they were praying for Tee Grizzley and his family in light of Ms Brown's death.
