Teenage boy injured in Bradford street robbery in broad daylight

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy was injured in a street robbery in broad daylight in Bradford.

According to West Yorkshire Police, two young males approached the victim and demanded his phone on Bertram Road, Manningham, at around 8.10am yesterday.

The victim ignored the males and continued to walk on.

One of the males then assaulted the victim, kicking him to the floor, and stole his phone before making off on foot.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his hand and knee.

West Yorkshire Police said one of the males is described as Eastern European, around 5ft 3in tall, with dark curly hair. He looked to be aged around 14 or 15 and was wearing a grey hoodie and grey joggers.

The second male is described as Eastern European and around 5ft 5in tall. He looked to be aged around 15 or 16 and was wearing a grey hoodie.

A force spokesperson said: "Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area yesterday and witnessed the robbery or who may recognise the descriptions of the two males to come forward.

"Local police patrols have been stepped up in the area to provide reassurance."
