A man has been charged after a teenager was stabbed on a bus.

Jayden Patterson, 18, of Ayles Road, Hayes, was charged on Thursday (June 20) with grievous bodily harm with intent to do serious harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

Police had been called to Mandeville Road in Ealing at 4.14pm on Tuesday (June 18) to reports that an 18-year-old man had been stabbed.

Mandeville Road goes into the Northolt Park area towards South Harrow.

Patterson appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Friday (June 21) and will next appear in custody at Isleworth Crown Court on July 19 this year.

The stab victim was treated in hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

A boy, 15, was also bailed pending further enquiries.
