Road closures have been announced for one of Devon's biggest community free events. Teignmouth Airshow will again regale aviation enthusiasts this July with aerobatics displays and four days of family entertainment.

The event will run from Thursday July 4 to Sunday July 7 and will have plenty to keep fans of planes and helicopters, old and new, happy from the world famous Red Arrows to an RAF Typhoon and the classic Lancaster.

A Gazelle Squadron will also put on a show along with Team Raven and their RV8 aircraft or Jubilee Pitts which will perform aerobatics with the Pitts Special Byplane.

Organisers of the event funded by the community for the community said a series of road closures will be in place in Teignmouth throughout the duration of the show.

On their Facebook page they said: "Our volunteer committee have been putting up the advanced warning signs this weekend for the upcoming road closures and parking suspensions which will be in effect for one day on Saturday July 6."

The road closures in place that day will be:

  • Orchard gardens

  • Den crescent

  • Den promenade

  • Wellington street

  • Courtney place

  • Esplanade

  • Regent street

  • Powderham terrace

  • George street

  • Brunswick street

  • Strand

  • Bath terrace

  • Station road

  • Hollands Road

The Point and Lower Point car parks will be closed for the day, GWR will also be closing their car park at Teignmouth Station.

Event parking will be located at the playing fields behind Morrisons and will be open from 8am - 8pm. Parking can be pre booked using the link below, limited spaces available on the day, cash payment only. There will a blue badge holder drop off point at South View (TQ14 8BJ).
