Temperatures set to sizzle in May as Brits to bask in Bank Holiday heat

Brits are set to bask in an early May heat with temperatures predicted to soar 'above average'.

The Bank Holiday Monday on May 6 is expected to bring a sizzle to the UK, with the mercury potentially hitting a balmy 17C. While we'll see some cooler moments with lows of 13C, the highs could reach into the early twenties.

The BBC has forecasted: "Later in the week, they may actually creep to above average." According to weather maps and charts from WX Charts, which utilise Met Desk projections, the UK is set to glow with warmth as temperatures rocket during the early part of May, BirminghamLive reports.
