Terrifying head-on cement truck crash caught on camera (and trucker just got a ticket)

This is the terrifying moment a motorist was on the end of a head-on crash with a cement truck - but escaped with minor injuries.

Dr. Guan Zhu was driving through Texas when the truck, heading in the opposite direction, skipped a red light and swerved onto its side.

The huge vehicle careers past other cars and then slides towards his minivan in the heart-stopping footage.

The cement truck smashed into the front of Prof. Zhu’s Toyoya Sienna minivan, but amazingly he escaped relatively unhurt.

He received some cuts on his legs but was otherwise uninjured. The trucker, meanwhile - who also avoided major injury - merely got a ticket at the scene for his reckless driving.

Prof. Zhu captured the amazing incident through a dashboard camera he installed in his car a year ago previously incase he was even involved in an accident.

He said he couldn’t remember what had happened until he watched the chilling video back.

He said: ‘It's what happened, you know, I could not remember in my memory, a truck is coming, and I could not remember exactly how it happened and then the video says that's how it happened, kind of turning like 45 degrees before it hits my vehicle.’

Emergency crews spent several hours cleaning spilled cement from the road after the accident.
