Terrifying moment man finds king cobra under car bonnet

If you've ever hit a deer, you'll know that cars and animals don't really mix very well – unless in the form of leather on our seats or dead dinosaurs in the petrol tank. One driver got rather more than they bargained for though, after lifting their car bonnet to discover a 15-foot king cobra coiled underneath.

Two men approach the cobra with poles, ready to pounce on the unsuspecting serpent. Grabbing it behind the head to prevent it from attacking, the men bring it out from the engine compartment.

It's only when the snake is out of the car that it's possible to see its sheer size. The massive cobra certainly isn't something we'd like to see under the bonnet of our car – though it could be an interesting addition to a more exotic motor rather than the lowly Nissan saloon it picked here.

Imagine, for example, if your Shelby Cobra came with its namesake twisted around the intake manifold...

The snake was eventually placed into a secure bag and presumably released back into the wild.
