Tesco shopper shares how she got £783 haul for £109

A shopper urged fellow bargain hunters to "run don't walk" to Tesco after sharing her huge haul. The woman bagged £784.59 worth of items for just £109.67, saving a whopping £673.92.

She secured dozens of toys, including Barbie and Disney princess dolls, which were 'reduced to clear'. The goods had already been in the sale but benefited from an extra 75 per cent off.

Sharing snaps of the goods on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, she said: "Extra 75 per cent off toys that are already reduced at Tesco Chesterfield Road in Mansfield. Run, don't walk."

The shopper bought a Frozen 2 Elsa Styling Head for £1.90, when it was originally £19. She also had two Tamagotchi Original, which should have set her back £20 each, for £4.

Numerous Lego sets were also in her trolley, including a Disney Princess Asha's Cottage, originally £47, down to £8.23 and a Minecraft Bee Cottage for £3.15 instead of £18. Although the majority of items listed on her receipt were cut-price toys, there were some food items included in the shop too, including bread and roast beef.

Many were envious of her haul, having not spotted the offer at their local Tesco store. One said: "There's no toy sale in my two local Tescos." A second added: "I went to my local Tesco today, all still full price." However another commenter said: "I’m gob smacked all that comes to over £700 in the first place, toys these days are ridiculous money!"
