Tess Ward urges Harry Styles' fans to 'be nice' to her after dubbing them 'childish'

Last week, ahead of the release of his debut solo album, Harry Styles was romantically linked to food blogger Tess Ward, with a mysterious source telling The Sun that the pair were “head over heels” after meeting in February.

As usual, Harry hasn’t commented on any of the speculation surrounding his love life, and whilst Tess hasn’t publicly confirmed or denied the reports she has massively hinted on social media that she is involved with the One Direction star.

Needless to say, once Tess’ name was linked to Harry’s she was quickly inundated with messages and comments from his fans, with it even being claimed that her book, The Naked Diet, saw a surge in negative reviews after the initial story broke.

However, Tess faced further backlash when eagle-eyed fans noticed that she had ‘liked’ an Instagram post seemingly slamming the One Direction fandom.

Commenting on a video that Tess had posted @lottiesfood had written: “This fandom is childish af [as f*ck]”, which Tess had ‘hearted’, however, she has since hidden all comments on the post in question.

Despite the apparent dig, which was screenshot and soon sent around social media, Tess took to her Instagram page again last night to urge all of her new followers to “be nice” to her, writing in the caption for one of her food posts: “Brunch for dinner is never a bad idea on the weekend!

“Also for everyone following and messaging me, I am thankful but please be kind to me.

“All I want is to share beautiful food with you all.”

The move comes just days after The Great British Bake Off’s Ruby Tandoh reignited her Twitter feud with the food blogger, with Tess previously slamming Ruby for her baking recipes.

She sniped at the time: “Lets all make baking books and wonder why the world has health & sugar addiction problems. @FelicityCloake @sam_stern @rubytandoh @VICEUK”.

Ruby quickly replied: “Ok, mum.”

She has now shared screenshots from one of Tess’ interviews, which read: “Her [Tess’] new bespoke ‘Skinny Bitch’ cooking classes will teach you how to make a lip-smacking, nutritious and detoxing three-course dinner and put you on track to fitting back into those skinnies.”

As well as a quote from Tess that read that she is “so disappointed that skinny shaming is considered ok”.

Ruby added: “Funny how Tess Ward, denizen of the weight loss industry and full time diet shill, can stand up for ‘body positivity’ when it suits her.”

Tess has not responded to Ruby’s remarks.
