Jonathan Glickman is attached to produce and has been developing the film prior to his recent appointment as CEO of Miramax. Teton Ridge Entertainment’s EVP of Production Jen Gorton and Creative Executive Madeleine Moore will oversee the project. Beau L’Amour will serve as EP.

Run by President Jillian Share, newly formed Teton Ridge Entertainment produces scripted and unscripted films, television series, podcasts and new media content that explores Americana stories and highlights the themes, ethos and setting of the American West. Among other projects, the company recently announced a docuseries it is working on with Oscar-winner James Reed (My Octopus Teacher) about Colossal Biosciences, a company working to bring extinct species, such as the woolly mammoth, back to life.

“We were enthralled by Pete Chiarelli’s brilliant, imaginative take on Louis L’Amour’s classic story,” said Share of Fallon. “We see this film as a perfect opportunity to bring the timeless appeal of westerns to a commercial audience.”

Chiarelli is a writer/producer of Warner Brothers’ two-time Golden Globe nominated, box office hit, Crazy Rich Asians. Before working as a screenwriter, Chiarelli started his film and television career working as a production executive for Alex Kurtzman & Bob Orci, and later worked as a studio executive at MGM. He is repped by UTA, Mosaic and Barnes Morris.

Prior to being named CEO of Miramax, Glickman founded the independent film and TV production company Panoramic Media in 2020. At Panoramic Media, Glickman produced the films Creed 3 and The Underdoggs for Amazon/MGM, as well as Executive Produced Netflix’s Emmy nominated smash Wednesday. Glickman began his career as a producer of more than 40 films with critical and commercial hits across a broad array of genres, from the Rush Hour franchise to While You Were Sleeping, Grosse Pointe Blank and The Count of Monte Cristo.
