Thai parents grieve 'biggest loss' after son dies in Israel

STORY: Somkuan Pansa-ard’s cousins and neighbours in the tight-knit community of Ban Song Waeng village, located in Thailand’s northeastern province of Kalasin, have gathered at his parents' house.

His father Khraboan Pansa-ard said he had not wanted Somkuan to go to Israel. However, Somkuan insisted and found farm work near the Gaza border in order to support his family.

He had been in Israel since November 2022. His parents are hoping that his remains will be repatriated soon.
