‘The Apprentice’ Is Facing A Ratings ‘Crisis’

Lord Sugar’s face is about to look even dourer and more depressed than usual after it was revealed that this series of The Apprentice has seen the show’s lowest ratings EVER.

But whilst the long-running show has been suffering in the ratings, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues to go from strength to strength – with viewers seemingly abandoning the BBC1 show.

Thursday night’s programme had about 4.3m people watching – not bad, but it’s the worst figures for the show since it moved over to BBC1 back in the heady days of 2007.

At its height, the show got nearly double that – averaging out at about 8 or 9 million viewers per episode.

Thursday’s episode was down 300,000 on last year’s least-watched episode – and whilst the figure doesn’t include people watching on catch-up or watching any of the spin-off shows, Lord Sugar and his pals will be understandably a little bit worried.

So, has time run out for the once-popular show?
