The best UK TV to watch this week from Secret Invasion to Glastonbury 2023
From There She Goes to And Just Like That, there's a busy week on telly ahead
The summer is beckoning and that means there are more shows for viewers to enjoy during the longer days, with some looking to escape the heat by chilling on the sofa with a new show.
Well this week on UK TV this ranges from the latest Marvel release Secret Invasion, to a poignant conversation about transgender issues told by Elliot Page, to live coverage from one of the biggest festivals of the year, Glastonbury, there is lots to choose from on both streaming and terrestrial television.

Wednesday, 21 June, 9 pm: There She Goes 2023 special | BBC Two
BBC drama There She Goes will be returning to the small screen for a one-off special, adding a new chapter to the story of the Yates family whose daughter Rosie (Miley Locke) has a learning disability.
In this moving hour-long special, parents Simon (David Tennant) and Emily (Jessica Hynes) contend with new challenges as Rosie continues to grow up and begins to react differently.
Wednesday, 21 June: Secret Invasion | Disney+
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is back in a big way with Secret Invasion, the newest Disney+ series which sees Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) return to Earth in order to stop a shape-shifting alien species from taking over the planet.

Secret Invasion is Marvel's first foray into the spy genre since Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and it will be quite different to the franchise's superhero stories as of late.
Wednesday, 21 June, 10 pm: In Conversation - Elliot Page | BBC Three
Elliot Page speaks to the BBC's gender and identity correspondent Megha Mohan about his childhood, transition, and experience in Hollywood.

The Umbrella Academy star will also take the opportunity to discuss transgender rights and his relationship with his body growing up, to help educate those who may not know much about the subject.
Thursday, 22 June: Ruby Speaking | ITVX
Jayde Adams new comedy series, which she co-created with Abigail Wilson and Lucy Lumsden, will be landing on ITVX in full.
The series follows Ruby (Adams), a call centre worker in Bristol, and the experiences she goes through in her role as she struggles to stick to the script.
Thursday, 22 June, 9 pm: ...And Just Like That season 2 | Sky Comedy/NOW
Carrie Bradshaw is back by popular demand following the success of ...And Just Like That season one, and the Sex and the City sequel will return to the lives of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte in New York City.
Things are going great for Carrie's career, and now with Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) appearing on her doorstep perhaps she'll have another shot at love?
Thursday, 22 June: Glamorous | Netflix
Netflix is celebrating Pride month with a new LGBTQ+ rom-com, Glamorous, which stars Kim Cattrall and just so happens tot be coming out the same day Sex and the City sequel ...And Just Like That returns to screens.

The series follows Marco (Miss Benny), an aspiring influencer who gets a job helping make-up mogul Madolyn Anderson (Cattrall) and embarks on a journey of self-discovery full or romance, intrigue. and more.
Friday, 23 June, 7.30 pm: Glastonbury Live | BBC Two
BBC will be bringing live coverage from this year's Glastonbury to the small screen, with performances by Texas and Gabriels, Royal Blood and more taking to the stage.

The channel will also be putting together highlights from each day of the festival over the course of the weekend, which fans without tickets can enjoy on BBC Two.
Friday, 23 June: Carpool Karaoke season 5 | Apple TV+
Apple TV+'s spin-off of Carpool Karaoke is returning for a new season on the streaming platform, with a slew of famous stars belting out their favourite tunes whilst driving around town.
Stars set to appear in the show include Avril Lavigne and YUNGBLUD, Lea Michele and Darren Criss, Cedric The Entertainer and Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Alanis Morissette and Cara Delevingne amongst others.
