There is another exciting week of TV ahead on UK screens as the schedule is full of exciting new dramas, returning reality hits, and compelling documentaries to enjoy.

While the BBC will be continuing its Wimbledon coverage, the channel will also be bringing viewers a chance to enjoy a new version of its hit show The Traitors (this time in Australia), while Joe Swash will look at the foster care system in a one-off documentary.

Over on Apple TV+, two of the streamer's biggest hits are coming back this week: Foundation and The Afterparty, while Netflix are launching new comedy series Survival of the Thickest and the fifth season of its reality series Too Hot to Handle just in time for Summer.

Disney+, Sky and ITV also have intriguing new programmes for viewers to choose from, meaning there is a lot to choose from in the week ahead on UK television.

Sunday 9 July, 8pm: The Traitors Australia | BBC Three

The huge success of BBC reality series The Traitors has seen it spawn a number of spin-offs, and now the Australian edition of the programme is coming to BBC Three.

Hosted by Rodger Corser, the show will once again see a group of contestants be split into the Faithful and the Traitors, with the latter trying to eliminate the others in a bid to win the A$250,000 (£130,250) prize for themselves in a captivating game of deception and betrayal.

Joe Swash is exploring the experiences of teens in foster care who are aged 16 and above, the largest growing group in child protection and care services.

The TV personality has spoken openly about fostering with wife Stacey Solomon as he feels inspired by his mum Kiffy, who is a foster carer and has bee for 15 years.

Wednesday 12 July: The Secrets of Hillsong | Disney+

The controversies surrounding the Hillsong church are being examined in a new documentary on Disney+ which will see people like former pastors look back at their time with the church.

Wednesday 12 July: The Afterparty season 2 | Apple TV+

Apple TV+'s hit comedy series Afterparty returns with a new season that sees its characters tell different versions of events from one fateful night.

The murder mystery adeptly jumps from genre to genre, with the second season introducing new characters played by Jack Whitehall, Ken Jeong, and John Cho amongst others.

Wednesday 12 July, 9pm: The Lionesses: A League of their Own special | Sky

Releasing right in the midst of Wimbledon, the two-part docu-series explores Becker's rise in the sport and his public fall from grace which culminated in his bankrupcty trial.

Thursday, 13 July: Survival of the Thickest | Netflix

Netflix are releasing a new comedy series on the platform titled Survival of the Thickest, which follows Mavis Beaumont (Michelle Buteau), a Black plus-sized woman starting over after a recent heartbreak and trying to find herself again as she navigates the world of dating once more.

Apple TV+'s epic sci-fi series Foundation returns for its second season, which returns to the world of its characters over one hundred years after we last saw many of them.

Gaal Dornick (Lou Llobell) and Salvor Hardin (Leah Harvey) are traversing the galaxy together after the first season's surprise finale, whilst the cracks are beginning to show in Empire as the Cleon clones (led by Lee Paces Brother Day) try desperately to keep hold of power in a galaxy that is slowly coming apart.

Historical drama The Great makes its long-awaited return to Lionsgate+, the show which stars Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult will continue to explore the relationship between Catherine and her husband Peter.
