Netflix is giving its hit reality show The Ultimatum an LGBTQ+ twist with a spin-off aptly titled Queer Love, which will see five couples put their relationships to the test.
The show is much like its original counterpart as each pairing has one partner set on marriage and the other one not so sure about heading down the altar, and so they have come to the show to address this issue.
Each couple’s relationship will be challenged when they come on the show to date other cast members, with the intention of deciding once and for all if they should stay together with their original partner and get married, wed someone else, or leave alone.
Here is everything you need to know about the cast.
Which couples are on The Ultimatum: Queer Love?
Lexi and Raelyn
Lexi and Rae have come on the show as 25-year-old Lexi is ready to settle down while Rae, 27, does not yet feel she can make that commitment. The pair first met on Bumble and became “inseparable” after meeting in person.
Yoly and Mal
Yoly and Mal were three years into their relationship when they joined The Ultimatum: Queer Love, as Yoly is keen to tie the knot while Mal is not quite ready for the commitment as they want to be more secure financially before making the final decision.
Tiff and Mildred
Tiff and Mildred began dating after the former slid into the latter’s DMs and their relationship did quickly become serious, but while Mildred is keen to get married Tiff is said not to be as certain because of the couple’s struggles with miscommunication.
Vanessa and Xander
Vanessa and Xander have known each other since high school, and first met because their respective boyfriends at the time were friends. After coming out, the couple began dating and are said not to have spent more than three days apart ever since. Xander is ready to get married, while Vanessa is worried about giving up her freedom.
Aussie and Sam
Aussie and Sam first met through an online LGBTQ+ group during the pandemic, and they have been dating for a year and a half. Sam is ready to walk down the aisle but Aussie is said to want to live together for longer before making the ultimate commitment.
The first four episodes of The Ultimatum: Queer Love are out now on Netflix, with more episodes being released on Wednesday, 31 May and on Wednesday, June 7.
