Legs Akimbo: Fagulous channels the PM in his drag show at the Glory

Thirty years ago we had Spitting Image comically reading the nation’s politicians, but now there's something even better: drag impersonators.

No one is safe, including the Prime Minister. This month, Britain’s leading drag Theresa May impersonator Fagulous presents Theresa May’s Legs Akimbo.

Skipping naughtily through Haggerston’s wheat fields on June 28, drag queen Fagulous brings character comedy, cabaret and lip syncs to the Glory for the "campest knees up you could possibly imagine".

Audiences probably won’t know whether they stepped into a pub or the House of Commons – though it's unlikely anyone in Parliament is called Crystal Lubrikunt. As well as this “lip sync assassin” the rest of Theresa’s “barebackbenchers” include comedian Joe Sutherland and rising cabaret stars Wanda Cookie and Cheryl Hoffman.

"No matter what side of the political spectrum you fall, everyone will be coming when they hear my legs will be akimbo," says Fagulous, promising "the most outrageous night out you could imagine hosted by me, your supreme leader, Theresa May.

"I'll be making the boys red, white and blue in the face, showing them what a real hard Brexit looks like."

Besides May, Fagulous has a plethora of other characters up his sleeve, including Liza Minnelli, Fanny Craddock and Ann Widdecombe.

Sorry, Theresa, it’s just another side effect of entering the political arena – prepare to be dragged.
