THICK black smoke has been seen billowing over a Southend industrial estate after a fire has reportedly broken out.

Firefighters are on the scene near Temple Farm industrial estate with photos and videos from Stock Road showing black smoke coming from a unit on the estate.

Stock Road is blocked near the scene.

The fire is near to the tip, which is still open as the fire appears to be at a separate unit.

Essex Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for comment.
