A 38-year-old woman can no longer enter all but two shops in Gainsborough without first notifying staff. Martine Domoney stole a £100 worth of washing pods from the B&M store in the town on Friday, May 31.

She entered with a red bag for life before leaving the discount store without paying. Domoney, of Trinity Court, was charged with theft and appeared in Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 17.

She pleaded guilty and her existing criminal behaviour order was extended by six months to August 2025. Due to this order she is not allowed to enter any shops in Gainsborough without notifying the staff first, with the exception of Aldi and the Co-Op Pharmacy.

Domoney was also ordered to pay compensation of £267.78 to B&M as well as £20 to West Lindsey District Council.
