A rescued kangaroo who was left orphaned when she was a baby starts every day the only way she knows how - with cuddles.

The 10-year-old ‘roo, named Abigail, has been hand raised by staff at the Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs in Australia ever since she was a youngster.

And now she shows just how much she loves the workers every day by going in for a hug every morning.

Abi was found suffering from cuts and bruises but the love and care she has received over the years have seen her grow into a healthy kangaroo.

Staff at the sanctuary describe her early morning ritual as a “great big rugby tackle cuddle”.

In fact, she even seeks out her human pals so she can show her gratitude for rescuing her all those years ago.

And what can be better than receiving a warm, cuddly embrace from a furry friend every morning?
