What did you miss?

This Morning viewers were confused when they tuned in on Tuesday and thought Holly Willoughby had returned to host the show. The Saturdays star Mollie King joined Dermot O'Leary as the latest guest presenter on the ITV daytime show and her blonde bob made many do a double take at the start of the show. Viewers were quick to point out her resemblance to former permanent host Willoughby, and soon she was being dubbed 'Holly 2.0' or 'Holly Lite'.

What, how, and why?

King returned to guest host This Morning for the first time since July 2022. She is the latest guest presenter to fill in for Willoughby since she quit the show in October after 14 years, following an alleged kidnap plot against her.

With her wavy blonde bob King, 36, bears a striking resemblance to Willoughby, 42, and viewers started joking that ITV had had her cloned. One posted on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter: "I thought Holly returned to This Morning there for a minute."

Someone else wrote: "Because that's what we need - Holly Lite This Morning." And another said: "For a second I thought Holly Willoughby was back on This Morning Whoever she is she's her double".

Others wrote: "I thought Holly was back there for a sec but it’s Molly This Morning," "she could be Holly's sister this morning," "I know they're trying to replace holly but wow she looks like her clone This Morning," and "Holly 2.0 #ThisMorning".

What else happened on This Morning?

Many This Morning viewers are starting to tire of the ever-changing rota of presenters as ITV searches for the permanent replacements for Phillip Schofield and Willoughby. Loose Women's Christine Lampard joined O'Leary to host the show on Monday and many viewers were disappointed when they switched on.

Rylan and Emma Willis have proved a popular presenting duo, when they hosted the show together earlier this month. And many would like to see them back. One said: "Bring back Emma and rylan This Morning" along with a crying emoji. Another agreed: "Can we please have Rylan and Emma back, I nearly enjoyed #ThisMorning last week. This swapping and changing for people who are out of their depth is painful." Of course, Rylan and Willis have worked together before and have natural chemistry.

Some viewers are missing Josie Gibson - who has been in Australia taking part in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! and Alison Hammond. And others just want ITV to make up their minds and give them stability in terms if friendly faces to host the show.

One tweeted: "Can this morning not decide on who to present?" Another said: "The producers really need to work on having permanent presenters! The show is all over the place and the constant change of presenters is getting boring This Morning"

Phillip Schofield resigned from This Morning in May, following his confession he had had an affair with a much younger runner on the show. Since he left Willoughby was presenting alongside a rota of guest hosts, which has grown even larger after she also left the sofa for good.

This Morning airs on ITV from 10am to 12.30pm Mondays to Fridays.
