This Morning viewers are calling on ITV to made Andi Peters a permanent host after he joined Josie Gibson on the sofa.

With Phillip Schofield exiting the daytime programme earlier this year and regular hosts such as Holly Willoughby away for the summer break, different presenting partnerships have been hosting.

Earlier this week Gibson fronted the show alongside newcomer Steve Jones, and on Thursday (17 August) she was joined by Peters.

"Yayyy…. Get @andipeters on permanently please," one person tweeted, saying that he was "the only natural presenter on there".

"Loving Josie and Andi today," posted another fan.

Another said: "Andi Peters should be on with Josie all the time. Natural, more relaxing to watch."

"I say it every time, but Andi Peters deserves a regular slot," someone else remarked.

Another viewer said that Peters was "great" with Gibson, and somebody else said they thought the pair were "so down to Earth" as they presented together.

Schofield exited in May amid a scandal that saw him admitting to having an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger ITV staff member.

His usual co-host Willoughby has presented with various TV stars since then.
