This strange landscape has puzzled a lot of people - can you see why?
A very strange landscape photo showing a starlit sky over a beautiful American landscape has been giving people a bit of a headache.
Why are the stars so odd? What is happening in the sky – is it night, or day?
The picture, taken in California’s Yosemite National Park is actually a bit of a trick – it’s upside down, film-maker Kevin Wolf (who took the shot) confesses.
Wolf, a film-maker from San Francisco said that he was inspired by the fact the sand looked like stars – and the image rapidly became a hit on Instagram and Reddit.

Wolf said, ‘I flipped this photo upside down because the sand under the river kinda looked like stars – (turn your phone upside down).
Many commenters said that the image looks like night and day captured together in one shot.
The Yosemite National Park was declared a world heritage site in 1984, and attracts millions of visitors every year to California’s Sierra Nevada mountains.
