For the last 20 years, this woman has received a hand-delivered Christmas card addressed to a couple that she doesn’t know – and now she’s desperate to get to the bottom of the mystery.

Every Christmas, Angie Kenny receives a card addressed to ‘Lynne and Bob’ from a woman called Eileen who she has never met.

Angie, 45, has never spotted the person delivering the card to her home in Whetstone, Leics, and she’s now determined to work out the identity of the mystery sender.

This year’s offering features a 1950s black and white photograph of a couple on holiday, along with the message: ‘Happy Christmas to you both, love Eileen xx’

Accompanying the card was a note that read ‘I found this photo while sorting out and know you will love it.’

Describing the mystery annual arrival, Angie said: ‘The card is always hand-delivered.

When the card came through the door last week I actually heard the letterbox go.I went to the window to see who it was, just in case it was the person who brings the card.

But by the time I got to the window there was no sign of anyone, which was a bit spooky. I don’t know where the cards are coming from but no one called Lynne and Bob has ever lived here.’

‘I’ve been here for the past 20 years and before me there was a woman called Margaret. It’s really strange and it bugs me every year.’

Now, Angie is hoping that the throwback black and white snap could prove the key in solving the decades-old mystery.

She said: ‘The photo shows a man and a woman holding the hands of a little girl, who’s probably aged about seven or eight at the time the photo was taken.

‘It looks like it was probably taken in about the early 1950s.

‘They’re a very smiley family – it’s a happy, beautiful photo and it needs to be reunited with someone who would appreciate it.’
