Avengers: Infinity War will bring us more superhumans than we've ever seen in one movie, but eagle-eyed fans have spotted an Easter egg in Thor: Ragnarok's latest trailer that hints even more heroes are out there.

The teaser, which debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, features a huge totem pole that bears some familiar faces.

The Marvel characters Man-Thing (front and centre), Beta Ray Bill (below and to the left), Ares (straight across to the right) and Bi-Beast (directly below Ares) can be made out (via Screen Rant).

Man-Thing is Dr Ted Sallis, who was transformed into a magical, empathetic swamp creature (not to be confused with DC's Swamp Thing).

Beta Ray Bill is a horse-like alien and ally of Thor who was worthy enough to lift Mjolnir. He was later given his own hammer and has a longstanding connection to Asgard.

Ares is Marvel's equivalent of the ancient Greek god of war, more recently reimagined as an anti-hero type.

Bi-Beast has no connection to the LGBT community, but is a literally two-faced android linked to the Inhumans, who has fought various heroes including Hulk and Thor.

The final face opposite Bi-Beast is up for debate, but suggestions including Hulk and the dragon Fin Fang Foom have been touted.

The totem pole is on the Planet Sakaar, where Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster forces Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and other beings to fight in the gladiatorial arena for his amusement.

Whether we will see Beta Ray Bill and the rest in the flesh remains to be seen, but presumably they were champions in the arena.

Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and Sir Anthony Hopkins will also star in Taika Waititi's movie.

Thor: Ragnarok will be released on October 27 in the UK and November 3 in the US.
