Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster quickly became a fan favourite after his villainous turn in Thor: Ragnarok.

And it seems we may not have seen the last of him after all, as the actor has teased a potential appearance in sequel Thor: Love and Thunder. Yes, please.

"I can't reveal any secrets, not that I know anything definitively, but there's a whisper of a thought or notion that I might have some participation in it," Goldblum told Entertainment Weekly.

"I would love to, to the extent that Taika Waititi is directing it. I would show up anywhere where Taika Waititi is — and all of Marvel too."

The last we saw of the Grandmaster, he was stuck in a pit of rubbish while being confronted by his angry subjects – so as far as we know, he is still alive.

As well as the potential return of the character, Digital Spy has mused about one major Marvel comics character appearing in the sequel.

Meanwhile, Waititi recently responded to reports that he had actually finished the script for Love and Thunder, admitting that wasn't the case.

"Oh that's cool!! I never cease to surprise me! (the title page is complete)," he said on Twitter.

Thor: Love and Thunder hits cinemas on November 5, 2021.
