Three-legged Glasgow dog looking for forever home after leg amputated

A 'sweet and cuddly' three-legged pup is looking for his forever home following a leg amputation.

Rocky has become a firm favourite with customers and staff at the Glasgow Dog Trust Centre. However, he is now looking for a place to bounce back from a recent surgery which saw him lose a paw due to pain.

The charity has said that Rocky would need to be the only pet in the house and neighbourhood as he finds it overwhelming to be around other dogs. He would also need to be on a muzzle in public and have quiet, dog free area where he can enjoy relaxing walks.

Rocky would also need a secure garden with a 6ft fence so he can enjoy time off the lead. He is looking for a family, without kids under 18, that would like to do training and go exploring to keep him busy both physically and mentally.

The Dogs Trust said: "Rocky recently got one of his legs amputated due to ongoing pain that was difficult to manage. Rocky has bounced back after his surgery and has adapted brilliantly to life on three legs.

"Rocky is looking for an experienced home with no other pets, and access to quiet areas to walk as he doesn’t enjoy the company of other dogs He loves people and treats and is such a good boy

"This fantastic lad has been with us for a wee while now but is so smart, handsome and friendly - we can’t understand how he hasn’t found his forever home yet! He is a firm favourite at Dogs Trust Glasgow and he definitely has his own little fan club>"
