Boy Saved After Riding Into Rush Hour Traffic

A three-year-old was rescued by a police officer after riding his toy motorbike down a bustling road in China during rush hour.

The child can been seen on CCTV footage dodging cars and buses as he heads across a busy crossroads in the eastern city of Wenzhou.

"It took place at about 5.30pm during rush hour, with huge passenger and traffic flows," said the officer who plucked the boy to safety.

The child was reunited with his grandfather after the ordeal.

He said he took care of his grandson everyday as the boy's parents went to work.

He insisted he always kept a close eye on the child who disappeared when he went to the toilet.
