A TikTok star racially abused a Polish police officer after she was arrested for drinking in her car in an Asda car park, a court has heard.

Social media influencer Priya Sahi, known on TikTok as Queen Bee, pleaded guilty at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Friday to a racially aggravated public order offence.

Sahi, 29, live-streamed her arrest on 25 October last year to her more than 100,000 followers on TikTok after being found by police in her Audi outside the Asda supermarket in Swindon, Wiltshire.

She was arrested on suspicion of being drunk while in charge of a motor vehicle, the court heard.

After she was removed from the car and handcuffed, she repeatedly told Polish police officer PC Marcin Kozak that she didn't understand him.

The court heard that later, in police custody, she told PC Kozak: "Learn English you European whatever you are”.

As a result, she was further arrested for a public order offence.

After she was removed from her car, Sahi, from Swindon, could be heard shouting at officers: "I'm allowed to park up and drink. I'm not driving, so what are you arresting me for?"

An officer then pointed out a number of bottles of alcohol in the vehicle to his colleague, PC Kozak.

Sahi told officers, "I want my TikTok running" before the stream ended.

Prosecutor Keith Ballinger said Sahi had a previous conviction for racially-aggravated assault dating back to 2015.

In a victim personal statement, PC Kozak, who joined Wilshire Police in 2018 as the force's first Polish community support officer, said that following Sahi's comments about his nationality and accent he "did not even feel human at this point".

He said: "I'm a serving officer and Polish national. It took hard work and courage to become a police officer, I had to prove I speak good enough English and pass tests; I work to exactly the same criteria as my British colleagues.

"Almost every day I'm subject to some sort of derogatory comment."

The court heard how Sahi was convicted of failing to provide a specimen of breath in relation to this incident.

In a separate incident, she was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, but failed to provide a specimen, the court heard. She later admitted the charge.

As a result, Sahi is serving two concurrent driving disqualifications and has accrued hundreds of pounds worth of fines, the court was told.

Defence solicitor Sandeep Kaushal said his client apologises to PC Kozak.

He said she feels "embarrassed" by what she said and hopes her apology can be passed on.

Mr Kaushal said Sahi, a single mother to her three-year-old son, was going through a "traumatic time" and was in a "frustrated state" explaining her thoughts live on TikTok as police officers surrounded her car.

He said that when they arrested her she "spiralled completely out of control".

Sahi was fined £80 and must also pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
