TikTokers use Bratz meme to show disgust for past items

TikTokers are looking back at some trends from the past. But they’re doing it with pure disgust.

They use a Bratz doll meme to help them convey aversion to these things. Bratz was an animated series from 2005 to 2008 and an extension of the popular Bratz dolls. It featured four main characters: Cloe, Jade, Sasha and Yasmin.

The meme shows Cloe (Olivia Hack) looking into a box and yelling, “Eww.” Then Jade (Soleil Moon Frye) picks the item up and says, “What an interesting artifact.”

Users have taken this meme to show how much they dislike certain items, with old fashion trends taking most of the hate.

In the mid 2010s, biker jeans were popular. In the 2020s, people are starting to cringe at the nearly decade-old fashion trend.

“My ex wore those I feel like I deserve some sort of financial compensation,” said

“Not the traumatizing trousers,” replied @carinamiacardon.

People aren’t just using this sound to show their distaste for older clothing. They are also showing their turn-offs when it comes to dating.

Abi (@peachy.puppy) created the original sound. The audio is still in its infancy on TikTok, as it only has just over 500 videos attached to it. However, the video has over 316,000 uses on CapCut — a video editing app you can link to TikTok.

Bratz has been off the air for 15 years, but TikTokers are using the clip with the sole and ironic purpose of calling things outdated.
