Tim Peake Shares Incredible Shot Of Britain From International Space Station

These incredible photos shared by astronaut Tim Peake show Britain lit up - with the Northern Lights visible in the background.

The stunning shots show the clear outline of the UK, with millions of lights glowing across the surface.

A concentration of lights in London gives off the strongest glow, with other northern cities also shining bright.

The greens and blue from the Northern Lights can also be seen at the top of the picture, giving the whole shot an ethereal framing.

Mr Peake also shared more shots as the International Space Station (ISS) passed across Europe.

Spain, France and Britain are all pictures together in one shot, while the boot of Italy is perfectly outlined as the ISS ventures south.

Mr Peake is the first British astronaut to have ever conducted a spacewalk and has built up a Twitter following of 518,000 people since he shot to fame when he took off for his mission last December.
