What time is the result expected in my constituency in General Election 2024
The general results will start being declared from around midnight, on Friday, July 5, although it will take a few more hours for the first results in Wales to come.
Across the UK there are 650 constituency results set to be declared overnight with enough expected by around 3am to give an idea if the polls are right, and Labour will form the next UK Government. The Press Association has estimated the times results are expected across the whole country, including in the 32 Welsh constituencies.
This election, the number has changed from 40 because the boundaries have been redrawn. Labour is projected to win somewhere around 28 of those 32 with Plaid Cymru taking at least two but pollsters say four are too close to call with just hours of campaigning left.
