Reaching the Ty Coch Inn requires a bit of effort; the nearest car park is a 20-minute walk away at Morfa Nefyn, managed by the National Trust. Pub-goers can either take a footpath through Nefyn Golf Club or, when the tide is low, opt for a picturesque stroll along the beach to get to this remote watering hole, known in English as the red house.

One visitor described the beach walk as "glorious" and praised the pub as "one of the best inns on any beach in the world" Another hailed it as a "hidden gem" adding, "If you like something quirky, off the beaten track and with a stunning location then this is the place for you."

For those seeking more than a leisurely stroll, the Porthdinllaen marine trail offers a four-kilometre journey starting from Morfa Nefyn, leading across the sandy shores to Ty Coch and extending along the coastline to captivating rock pools frequented by grey seals.

The inn itself presents a typical pub selection including various beers, wines, and ciders, complemented by an array of light bites, snacks, and sandwiches available either within the cosy bar or in the sheltered outdoor seating area.

One customer commended the staff's "friendly, helpful and spot on" attitude while singling out their Ploughman's lunch as "absolutely off the charts".

Beyond the praised food and beverage choices, which others have described as "great value for money" and "excellently authentic", the inn's "lovely vibe and cosy atmosphere" alone entices visitors globally.

Australian travel blogger Fiona Everette sings Ty Coch Inn's praises, naming it one of the best bars in Wales on her blog, Atlas Introspective: "It does take a lot to impress an Australian when it comes to beaches, but this is one of the best bars in Wales," Fiona penned.

"The effort required to reach this charming pub does contribute to a certain atmosphere," she added. "But it is precisely the isolation that makes the location so appealing."
