Viewers of ITV's Tipping Point were stunned by the knowledge of one contestant during today's show, with many convinced that he was 'on the wrong show'.

Ben Shephard welcomed three fresh contestants to the show - Hassan from Newport, Julia from West Yorkshire and Derek from Oxfordshire - each with hopes of taking home a life-changing £20,000 jackpot.

And after a steady start, Hassan managed to rack up a respectable £500 before the break. In his counter builder, the contestant would go on to stun viewers, answering all seven of his questions correctly in his 45 second time slot.

Sporting a smile, Ben said: "That is very impressive Hassan, seven correct answers. Seven counters to put into the machine." And viewers took to social media to also praise the performance.

One viewer wrote: "Wow 7 questions right, Hassan is far too clever for tippingpoint," while a second added: "Hasaan - #tippingpoint’s smartest contestant." A third penned: "Hassan on the wrong show #tippingpoint," while a fourth quipped: "Good gravy, Hassan! 7 counters!"

A fifth joked: "Hassan is too good for this show, he’ll be a surprise chaser on the chase next," while another viewer jabbed: "Mastermind is the studio next door, Hassan."

Julia would be knocked out after building a cash pot of just £150, leaving Hassan and Derek to compete for a chance at the gameshow's grand jackpot. And despite Derek doing his best and almost catching Hassan in the second round, he would also be ultimately be waving goodbye to his accrued cash pot of £1,750.

With £2,750 secured ahead of the final and a £20,000 top prize to play for if the 2X counter dropped, Hassan admitted that he would use his winnings to take his daughter to Disneyland. After tipping a few more counters over the edge, racking his cash pot up to £3,450 Hassan decided to take the money rather than risking it all for three more counters and a final chance at the jackpot.

And it would pay off, as the jackpot prize counter wouldn't drop for the contestant when hypothetically played out.
