Katharine McPhee and David Foster, RuPaul, Samara Joy and Ally Brooke also released new holiday music this year

Sabrina Carpenter, 'Fruitcake'

Sabrina Carpenter is serving up a "Nonsense Christmas" for the second year in a row.

The 24-year-old pop star released her debut holiday EP fruitcake on Nov. 17. The six-track project includes the previously released "Nonsense Christmas," which is a play on Carpenter's hit "Nonsense."

The singer — who is currently on tour with Taylor Swift — also included songs "buy me presents," "santa doesn't know you like I do," "cindy lou who," "is it new years yet?" and "white xmas."

David Foster and Katharine McPhee, 'Christmas Songs'

Katharine McPhee and David Foster are back with more holiday magic.

On Oct. 20, the couple released an extended version of their previously released album Christmas Songs.

"It's been kind of hard to get away from the holidays," Foster, 74, recently told PEOPLE. "Last year we recorded seven songs and this year added seven songs. We were doing Christmas Songs in the summer last year and this year. We haven't been out of the Christmas spirit much in the last two years."

McPhee, 39, added: "I'll never take an opportunity to not celebrate the holidays."

RuPaul, 'Essential Christmas'

It's giving... fabulous Christmas!

On Oct. 20, singer and drag icon RuPaul, 63, released a collection of holiday dance tracks titled Essential Christmas.

The 12-track album includes songs like “Jingle Dem Belles” (featuring Big Freedia) and “Hey Sis, It's Christmas.”

“Growing up, we didn't have much money, so Christmas always reflected our dour financial situation. But when I met [my husband] Georges in 1994, I began to redefine what Christmas means to me. Christmas became fun, and loving and friggin’ hilarious. Essential Christmas is a collection of that same spirit - the most fun & festive holiday songs I’ve ever recorded,” RuPaul said in a press release.

Jon Pardi, Merry Christmas from Jon Pardi

There's no party like Jon Pardi (Christmas) party!

On Oct. 27, the country star released his first-ever Christmas album titled Merry Christmas from Jon Pardi.

The 12-track album — which dropped the same week Pardi became the first California native to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry — includes covers of Christmas classics and originals like "Beer for Santa."

In November, the "Dirt on My Boots" singer, 38, also helped kick off the third season of Nashville’s favorite holiday tradition, Opry Country Christmas.

Samara Joy, 'A Joyful Holiday'

In need of that old-timey holiday nostalgia? Samara Joy may have answered your prayers.

On Oct. 27, the Grammy-winner, 24, released A Joyful Holiday, featuring six jazzy renditions of seasonal favorites.

Joy — who is currently touring across the country on her A Joyful Holiday Tour — included her previously-released "O Holy Night," which she performed with several generations of her family.

Elton John, 'Step Into Christmas'

On the 50th anniversary of his beloved tune "Step Into Christmas," Elton John dropped a holiday EP to celebrate the milestone.

John, 76, released the seven-track EP on Nov. 6, featuring songs like "Ho! Ho! Ho! (Who's Be a Turkey at Christmas)," "Calling It Christmas" and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer."

The legendary singer — who was presented with a plaque for his platinum certification of Diamonds — originally released "Step Into Christmas" in 1973. It followed the release of his chart-topping album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

Ally Brooke, 'Under the Tree'

Fifth Harmony stans are beaming with Ally Brooke's return to music.

On Nov. 3, Brooke, 30, made a musical comeback with her holiday EP titled Under the Tree.

To top it all off, Brooke announced she was reuniting with her Fifth Harmony bandmate Dinah Jade to release a cover of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" on Friday. This marked the first time any Fifth Harmony members collaborate since their separation in 2018.

George Perris, 'The Most Wonderful Time of the Year'

George Perris is leaning into Christmas.

On Nov. 10, the Greek singer, 40, released his first-ever holiday album titledThe Most Wonderful Time of the Year!.

The album, which was recorded with the Czech Studio Orchestra, features "Sleigh Ride," "Silent Night" and a rendition of “Ave Maria." He also covered Kelly Clarkson's "Under the Tree."

"This project is a very special labor of love for me, as I always turn into a kid during Christmas; I’ve dreamt of recording a Christmas album since I first started singing,” Perris said in a press release. “These songs have a deep root inside of us, they unite us and comfort us."

Elizabeth Chan and Daughter Noelle, 'Songs From Noelle'

Elizabeth Chan is back to doing what she does best — and this time her 6-year-old daughter has joined in on the Christmas fun.

On Oct. 20, Chan released a seven-song LP titled Songs From Noelle, featuring her daughter Noelle. This marks Chan's 13th consecutive year of holiday releases — but it almost didn't happen.

“Earlier this year, I broke my spine, and it was physically impossible to record an album on my own," Chan said in a press release. "Between the pain and rehabilitation, I was certain this would be the first year I didn’t release a holiday album. My daughter’s unwavering desire to help and her infectious holiday spirit rekindled my passion to make a record.”

She added, "It’s a true Christmas miracle."

Il Divo, 'A Merry Little Christmas'

'Tis the season of Il Divo!

On Nov. 3, the iconic quartet — who will celebrate their 20th anniversary as a group in 2024 — released A Merry Little Christmas.

The EP consists of their most beloved Christmas songs and follows the announcement of their A New Day Holiday Tour, which is set to wrap on Dec. 23 in Naples, Florida.

Pentatonix, 'The Greatest Christmas Hits'

Is it really Christmas without Pentatonix?

On Oct. 20, the a capella group released their latest holiday album, The Greatest Christmas Hits, and announced their 2023 North American Christmas tour, The Most Wonderful Tour of the Year,

"I feel like album is what we've been working towards. It's a summary of our entire 12-year career now," member Scott Hoying, 32, recently PEOPLE of the album. "It's the song that got us our record deal, the song that really went viral on YouTube and blew up our That's Christmas to Me album. It's all these hits that tell the story of Pentatonix's Christmas journey."

In addition to their classic renditions, the group included eight new holiday tracks for fans to enjoy.

Michael Bolton, 'Christmas Time'

 Michael Bolton is gearing up for a festive holiday!

On Nov. 3, the "When a Man Loves a Woman" singer released a brand-new holiday album titled Christmas Time.

“I’ve always loved the spirit of the holiday season because it’s all about bringing your loved ones together and music does that for us," Bolton, 70, said in a press release.

The album features covers of Christmas classics like "Jingle Bell Rock" and "Let It Snow" — along with an original song titled "Christmas Isn't Christmas" featuring country star Mickey Guyton.

Seth MacFarlane and Liz Gillies, 'We Wish You the Merriest'

Seth MacFarlane and Liz Gillies have joined forces and embraced the spirit of the season.

On Nov. 3, the singer and actor, 50, marked his return to holiday music with a Gillies, 30, holiday duet album titled We Wish You the Merriest.

The album, which takes listeners back in time as they reminisce on legendary duets like those of Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney, includes tracks like "Here Comes Santa Clause" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

We Wish You the Merriest follows the longtime friends' 2021 EP Songs From Home. It also marks MacFarlane's first holiday album since 2014's Holiday for Swing.

Robert Glasper, 'In December'

December is for Robert Glasper!

On Nov. 3, Glasper released his first-ever holiday album with Apple Music titled In December. The 7-track album includes three brand-new songs.

"I like covering songs that people know well, that’s what I’ve done throughout my whole career," Glasper, 45, said in a press release.

"It was fun remaking these tunes. The intention for this album was less about Christmas songs and more about songs that feel good during the holidays," he added. "I stayed away from thinking too much about Christmas and its traditional lingo and concentrated on real things people go through during the holiday season."

Trinity the Tuck, 'Trinity Ruins Christmas: The Musical'

Trinity the Tuck is providing the drag Christmas we didn't (or did) know we needed.

On Nov. 17, RuPaul Drag Race’s first double crown All-Star winner released her first-ever Christmas album Trinity Ruins Christmas: The Musical.

"This album and story is really a life lesson about how a little kindness can go a long way, and that we shouldn’t be defined by our hardships in life but rather we choose the path we take," she said in a press release.

The 7-track album features drag superstars Alaska Thunderfuck 5000, JIMBO, Manila Luzon, Aria B Cassadine, Ginger Minj and Kylie Sonique Love.
