TK Maxx and Homesense warn shoppers to take 'immediate' action

TK Maxx and Homesense have warned shoppers to take immediate action as they recall products. TK Maxx has recently recalled multiple products that have been deemed unsafe for customers.

Shoppers who have purchased Fallani Sleep & Relax Melatonin Gummy Bears have been told to return the product to stores. Under a product recall notice titled 'Fallani Sleep & Relax Melatonin Gummy Bears', TK Maxx warned: "We are recalling the above product due to a safety risk . The product contains melatonin, which is not permitted in such products and is a prescription-only medicine."

It added: "The product was on sale in TK Maxx and Homesense stores between May 2024 and June 2024 . The product code shown on the price sticker and the receipt will be 650971. The product is marked with the batch number “L21030” and expiry date “03 2026If you purchased the product, please stop using it immediately and return to any TK Maxx or Homesense store for a full refund.

"For further enquiries, please contact Customer Service on UK – 01923 473561 / customerservice@tjxeurope.com." The apparel and home goods company said: "We are recalling the above product due to a safety risk.

The product contains melatonin, which is not permitted in such products and is a "prescription-only medicine." TK Maxx and Homesense previously recalled selected batches of Kintra Foods Organic Premium Leaf Teas feared to contain critters. The affected batches were 6057, 6071, 6618, 6126 and 6207.

The retailer said: "We are recalling selected batches of the above products due to a food safety risk. Some products from these batches have been found to contain insects." The number of TK Maxx UK stores remained broadly unchanged at 351 stores, compared with 352 in 2022.

Last year, TK Maxx's parent company TJX Companies raised its full-year outlook after reporting an 8% year-on-year increase in net sales to $12.8bn (£10bn) for the second quarter of its financial year, ending 29 July.
