Tobacco Boss Injured in Drive-By Shooting in Johannesburg

The co-owner of a tobacco company was shot and injured while arriving at the gates of the Fair-Trade Independent Tobacco Association (FITA) in Johannesburg, South Africa, on August 14, local media reported.

Simon Rudland, who part-owns the Gold Leaf Tobacco Corporation, was pulling up at the gates of the FITA in the city when several shots were fired from a car that pulled up behind him. This CCTV footage shows the moment of the shooting.

He was taken to hospital and placed in intensive care, South African media said.
