Tom Cruise has been spotted out and about around the UK again - this time filming scenes for Mission: Impossible 7 at Birmingham’s New Street Station.

The Hollywood actor, 59, has been popping up all over the country as filming continues on the next installment of the action franchise. He is reprising his role as Ethan Hunt in the movie - which is due out next year and also stars Hayley Atwell.

On Wednesday, Mr Cruise was seen in a dark suit and sunglasses at Birmingham New Street - which has been transformed to look like an airport for filming.

British Transport Police managed to capture Mr Cruise on camera, posting a picture of the star on the Birmingham force’s Twitter.

It wrote: “I promise you, this isn’t photoshopped. Sincerely, One very jealous colleague.”

Earlier this week a family watched on in awe as Mission: Impossible star Tom Cruise landed by helicopter in their home’s garden in Warwickshire.

The actor stopped to pose for photos and gave a free helicopter ride to Alison Webb’s and her partner’s children.

Ms Webb, from Baginton, was only told her field was needed for a helicopter to land for an unnamed “VIP who was running late” while Coventry Airport was temporarily closed.

“I thought it would be kind of cool for the kids to see the helicopter land in the garden,” she toldBBC News.

“He [Tom Cruise] basically arrived and got out and it was like ‘Wow’. He went straight over to the children for a chat, then came over and elbow bumped us and said thank you very much.

“Then he said if the kids would like they could go up in the helicopter.”

To make the day even more memorable for the starstruck family, the children were taken on a ride by the pilot while the superstar actor attended a meeting.

“It turned out to be an incredible day,” she said. “It was surreal, I still now can’t believe it happened.”

Mr Cruise was spotted at Wimbledon for the tennis championship as well as putting in appearances during England’s run to the Euro 2020 final at Wembley.

But it was his appearance in Birmingham on Saturday, when he wasspotted eating two Tikka Masala dishes at a local curry house, which captured the fans’ imaginations the most.

The actor dined for two hours unnoticed but the restaurant eventually shared a photo of the Hollywood star outside the premises the following morning.

“It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Tom Cruise to Asha’s Birmingham yesterday evening,” they wrote.

“Tom ordered our famous Chicken Tikka Masala and enjoyed it so much that as soon as he had finished, he ordered it all over again - The greatest compliment.”
