Loki's Tom Hiddleston has addressed whether we'll see the God of Mischief appearing in Deadpool 3.

Appearing at the Comic Festival Convention in Kuwait, Hiddleston was asked about the rumours around a potential appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine and teased: "I don't know, and if I did I might not be allowed to tell you.

"I truly don't know, Marvel are correctly protective of their information."

Hiddleston's most recent outing as Loki was in season two of the Disney + show – and with no third season announced, many fans are fearing he might be done with the character.

Speaking about his future in the Marvel multiverse back in November, Hiddleston said: "I have at least twice in my life said goodbye.

"I've written to Kevin Feige and Louis de Esposito and Victoria Alonso and been like, 'Thank you so much. It's been like the role of a lifetime,' and they've written notes back saying, 'Come and see us anytime. You're always part of the family. We're always here. You've given us so much and tears have been shared.'

"So, I think I'd be unwise at this point to be conclusive about any of it."

Hiddleston also reflected on playing the comic book character for 12 years, after first appearing in 2011's Thor.

"I will say this, as an actor, I never take for granted that anyone in your audience is going to be a guarantee that people are going to be interested in what I think what I'm doing," he said.

"And I have been so honoured by the way that the audience has taken Loki into their imaginations for this length of time.

"I know Loki means so much to so many for different reasons, and just carrying the torch for the time that I have has been an absolute honour and I'm so grateful to you. Thanks for coming. Thanks for coming on the journey."

The first trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine featured a clear link to the Loki TV show, as TVA agents gatecrashed Wade Wilson's birthday party. One agent, played by Matthew Macfadyen, even offers Wade the chance to join the organisation and become "a hero among heroes".
