Tom Sandoval’s Deception-Focused Lifetime Movie to Air One Week After ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season 11 Premiere

One week after the anticipated season 11 return of Vanderpump Rules, Tom Sandoval will mark his return to the Lifetime cinematic universe with a movie that — like his Bravo unscripted series — focuses on a relationship marred by deception.

On Thursday, LMN (Lifetime Movie Network) announced its upcoming slate of original films for the first three months of 2024, including Tall, Dark and Dangerous, set to air Feb. 8. Sandoval appears in the thriller that debuts just one week after Vanderpump Rules returns with the continued aftermath to the Scandoval controversy, which centered on last year’s revelation that Sandoval cheated on longtime partner Ariana Madix with Raquel Leviss.

Tall, Dark and Dangerous is a Valentine’s Day-themed movie about Alice (Jamie Bernadette) realizing that Chris (Matthew Pohlkamp), the seemingly perfect guy she met on a dating app, is not the person he seems and actually stole the identity of his former roommate, played by Sandoval. Michael Paré, Tracy Nelson, Eric Roberts and Jackée Harry round out the film’s cast.

The announcement of the project follows Madix having co-starred alongside Meagan Good and Roger Cross in Buying Back My Daughter, which appeared on Lifetime in October.

Sandoval is best known for unscripted programs, gaining attention as an original castmember of Vanderpump Rules and more recently competing on The Masked Singer’s latest run and the second season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. But he has also dabbled in acting, and his credits include LMN’s The Wrong Real Estate Agent in 2021 alongside Harry, in addition to such genre offerings as 2019’s Dying for a Baby.

Other LMN films set to debut in the coming weeks include The Wrong Life Coach, hitting the channel Jan. 11 and featuring stars Harry, Paré, Vivica A. Fox and Morgan Bradley.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that published last year, Sandoval admitted that filming the forthcoming season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, which premieres Jan. 30, was particularly challenging for him.

“It was very isolating and hard,” he said at the time. “It’s going to be a very unique season.”
