Here's your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Sunday, June 9.

Swans chase Sidibeh

Swansea City are reportedly keen on a surprise move for St Johnstone striker Adama Sidibeh.

The Swans are eager to land a forward in this window, with boss Luke Williams keen on adding to his firepower up front in this window. There's now a suggestion that Sidibeh could be a figure of interest in SA1.

The 25-year-old is currently away on international duty with Gambia, and marked his international debut with a goal off the bench as his side ran out 5-1 winners over the Seychelles.

Sidibeh scored five goals in 15 games in the Scottish Premiership last season, after joining from non-league side Warrington Rylands back in January.

Now The Scottish Sun claims the striker could continue his rise with a move to the Championship with Swansea City. It's claimed the Swans are looking at completing a £500,000 move this summer.

The same report claims Sidibeh has a fixed price in his contract and could well be tempted by a move to south Wales. However, it's claimed he's also bound by a sense of loyalty to the Saints.

Swans in tussle for Rotherham defender

Swansea City are among a clutch of clubs reportedly interested in Rotherham United defender Cameron Humphreys.

According to Football Insider, the Swans are set to go up against Millwall, Queens Park Rangers and Sheffield Wednesday for the 25-year-old, who was one of the standout performers in a Millers side that was relegated from the Championship last term.

Humphreys came through the ranks at Manchester City before making the move to south Yorkshire, and even made two first-team appearances for the club before leaving in 2019.

After arriving at the New York Stadium in 2022, Humphreys has made 67 appearances for the club over two seasons, and currently has one year remaining on his current deal.

Given Rotherham's relegation to League One, it appears likely that the club will look to cash in on the centre-back.

Gallagher move played down

Blackburn Rovers forward Sam Gallagher is reportedly unlikely to make the move to Swansea City this summer, despite alleged interest.

According to the BBC, Gallagher has admirers at SA1, but the striker's wage demands are likely to be beyond the capabilities of the Swans.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away from Ewood Park, despite triggering an extension clause to keep him at the club until 2025.

Luton Town and Ipswich Town have also been mentioned as possible suitors.

Williams - We're moving in the right direction

Luke Williams says he hopes to continue strengthening the bond between Swansea City and the club's fans next season, and has thanked the Jack Army for their warm welcome so far.

“I feel I understand the fans here because this is a working class club and that means a lot to me," he said.

“When we can create something that is respected from the grass to the stands and vice versa, we will be able to feel it, and no-one will be able to tell us we don’t have it.

“We have some work to do to try to create the respect and the bottom-line standard we should expect from one another.

“We are definitely moving in the right direction, I have no doubt, but it is my job, and the job of the players and the staff, to try and harness that and we will get there. When we do, we will know it.”
