Tony Docherty in Celtic clash dugout BAN as Dundee boss to sit in the stand for clash with champions

Dundee boss Tony Docherty will be in the Dens Park stand for Sunday's huge Scottish Premiership clash against Celtic.

The Dark Blues will play their first top six post-split game in almost a decade after Docherty's sterling job at the newly-promoted Tayside outfit. Brendan Rodgers takes his Hoops to Dundee for Sunday's showdown as the champions look to stay in control of the title race but opposite number Docherty won't be in the dug-out next to him, instead he'll be in the stand.

That comes after he picked up his fourth booking of the season during the draw at Aberdeen recently that sealed a top half finish. Docherty was shown a yellow card by referee Nick Walsh and SFA rules state that a one-match ban for a coach or manager comes into effect 14 days after the offence occurs which meant Docherty was free to take the Rangers game before the ban kicked in.
