Tornado Touches Down in Northeast Lincoln

At least one tornado touched down in the area of Lincoln, Nebraska, on Friday, April 26, as a series of tornadoes caused damage across the state.

This footage from Mason Emry shows a tornado touching down close to the Sandhills Global Event Center in northeast Lincoln, damaging buildings, and moving toward Waverly.

Everybody.I've talked to my kids.Uh they're actually out of school today for a teacher's thing and my wife, uh the dogs, everybody's in the basement.So, uh yeah, that's what's going on at our house.Uh The uh uh the storm, as I said, has not produced a visible tornado.It's just that rotation that we saw with that, uh that backwards comma and, and, you know, defined hook.Uh you know, but hopefully, you know, as we've seen in some of these storms as they get up into the northern portion of Lancaster County and the, and the, and the Saunders, they tend to fall apart.Here's another update for the weather service, Rob.And this is, well, we have a power flicker here.All right, we may be.Yeah.So, uh but this just came down from the weather service tornado warning until 315 for northern Lancaster County, south central Saunders, west central CASS County is a 248 severe thunderstorm capable the fif between 48 and 84th, uh the area where the Goodridge plant is.And uh oh, we do have a visual on this.Oh, my.Ok.There is a video of it.Oh, my.Ok. Yep.Oh, yeah, we do have on the ground, we do have damage it looks like.Or maybe there is one on the ground.We can't tell exactly where, but it apparently is in northeast Lincoln.I'm not sure if it's exactly gone through the Bethany area.University Place Havelock area.Not sure.We're, we're still.
