A group of tourists had their car stolen while on holiday in Cornwall. Their vehicle, a Mercedes was nabbed while the holidaymakers were visiting Newquay this weekend.

The Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Unit posted on social media yesterday (Sunday, May 12) that the car had been taken from the group. With the help of CCTV, the car was found parked up and still in the town.

Officers returned it to the owners after spotting it with the help of Newquay CCTV.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Devon and Cornwall Police - No Excuse wrote: "#Mercedes stolen earlier today from some holidaymakers - working with Newquay CCTV we have located it parked up - owners very happy!"
