Trash Can Floats Down Flooded Waco Street

A trash can was washed away by floodwaters in Waco, Texas, on Wednesday, May 22, as severe thunderstorms barrelled through the state.

Video captured by Araceli Diaz shows the flooded street outside her home as a lone trash can is seen being swept away.

A flood watch remained in effect for parts of north and central Texas through to Friday morning.

As of Thursday, more than 55,000 customers were without power in the region due to the storms, local media reported. More than 1,200 of the power outages were reported in Waco.
