Sometimes falling in love happens swiftly and all at once, but for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, it was more of a gradual process, with the Kansas City Chiefs frontman revealing that it was one key character trait of the pop star's that let him know he was beginning to fall head over heels in love with her.

Speaking on the June 25 episode of the Barstool Sports' Bussin' With The Boys podcast, Kelce noted that the Grammy Award-winner's level of introspection and sincerity is what drew him to her.

"She's very self-aware. And I think that's why I really started to really fall for her, was how genuine she is around friends [and] family," he said, explaining how she has a deeper level of understanding. "It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention and she just keeps it so chill and so cool."

While Swift made her NFL debut at the Chiefs' game on September 24, 2023, she had actually opted to attend games privately beforehand, sneaking in with the rest of the sports fans through the front door. "She really won me over with that one," Kelce said, adding that the pop star wanted to "be around family and friends, and experience this with everybody."

"Nobody knew what was going on, [it was] really all over the place. I think it was ... we kinda kept it between us as much we could," the football star continued. "But once she came to a game, obviously it was all poppin' from there," Kelce told the podcast hosts.

Though the couple originally wanted to "keep things private," their relationship became very public after Swift's football game attendances—but Kelce isn't upset over it. "I'm not here to hide anything," he said. "That's my girl, that's my lady," and he's "proud of that."
