Did Travis Kelce steal the show at Taylor Swift's Wembley gig?

All eyes were on Travis Kelce during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour show at Wembley on Sunday.

Often seen cheering each other on in person, the couple are incredibly supportive of each other's high-profile careers. Swift stole the show at the Superbowl 2024 when she watched The Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers.

Now, the singing superstar invited her Lover onto the stage to perform alongside her for the first time, leaving her fans "breathless". Kelce had teased Swift's London's shows were going to be "special" but none of her fans could have imagined he would be performing at Wembley.

Kelce joined Swift on stage ahead of the singer belting out I Can Do It With a Broken Heart which is one of the most streamed songs from her latest album The Tortured Poets Department.

Travis Kelce in costume

The sports star ditched his usual casual attire and NFL uniform when he took to the stage. Dressed to impress, he was all about drama as Kelce wore a tuxedo with a white bow tie, tails and a top hat. His outfit was complete with smart shiny shoes.

Part of the show, Kelce was wearing the same special costume as Swift's dancers on Sunday night.

Travis Kelce lifts Taylor Swift

The moment Kelce carried Swift in his arms while walking across the stage left the crowd stunned, with one fan writing: "I can't breathe!" It was incredibly romantic, sending the crowd and fans online wild with his surprise appearance.

First two dancers lifted the singer up into their arms before the sports star took over and he delivered Swift onto the red sofa.

Then Kelce was seen fanning himself with a white fan as he continued to throw himself into the energetic performance. In a sweet moment, the Kansas City Chiefs star then turned his attention to his girlfriend as he fanned her alongside the two dancers. Plus as part of the performance, Kelce was seen applying makeup to Swift's face.

Before taking to the stage, Kelce had enjoyed the London show alongside Swift's parents Andrea and Scott. Both their parents had met for the first time in public at the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day.

At The Eras tour show, Kelce and Swift's parents were sat watching the show in the VIP section with some of the biggest celebrities in attendance including Swift's friends Sophie Turner and Paul McCartney. Singing legends Jon Bon Jovi and Ellie Goulding, as well as acting talent Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Cate Blanchett were watching in the crowd.

All of Swift's shows in London have attracted the great and the good of the showbiz world though. On the second night, Tom Cruise and Princess Beatrice led the stars in the crowd, plus Ashton Kutcher and his wife Mila Kunis as well as Liam Hemsworth and Hugh Grant, who was joined by his wife and eight-year-old daughter.

Grant thanked Swift for the astonishing show and he remarked Kelce was "gigantic" in a fun-filled tweet. He wrote on social media platform X: "Dear @taylorswift13, You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend (tequilashots.). Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old halfgirlhalfbracelet."

Travis Kelce backstage with Royal family

Kelce has attended all of Swift's three concerts and on Friday, he joined her backstage. The sports star even got in on Swift's selfie with Prince William as well as the royal's children Charlotte and George.

Swift shared the sweet moment on social media with the caption: "Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start." Swift has history with Prince William, having performed together back in 2013 for a charitable event.

This is the first Instagram post of the couple together too.

Taylor Swift's career milestone

It was a big deal for Swift to invite Kelce on stage as she had shared performing a number of shows for The Eras tour at Wembley, in London was a big moment for her singing career.

She said on stage over the weekend: "When I was preparing and practicing for the weeks before this, I was thinking about getting to play Wembley Stadium. That’s not remotely normal and it is so insane for you to have done that for me and for us on the Eras Tour and for my band and for my crew.

"When I was thinking about that, you think about just being grateful for all the people who wanted this for you — and that’s all of you here tonight. You clearly thought this was a good idea and you wanted this to happen. Blows me away. I’ll spend forever trying to thank you for that."
