Tree Crashes Through Home During Tallahassee Storm

A large tree fell onto a home and caused a bedroom ceiling to collapse as a tornado-warned storm slammed Tallahassee, Florida, on Friday morning, May 10.

This video from resident Brianna Cosby shows rain streaming into the bedroom through large holes in the ceiling and walls. “Y’all could have died,” someone is heard saying. Cosby told Storyful the house remained unstable and she feared the floors would cave in along with the ceiling.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued alerts about the storm at 6.52 am, warnings residents of a “dangerous situation unfolding” with “multiple circulations and radar-confirmed tornadoes apparent on radar.”

Multiple reports of damage were received over the following hour, but the NWS said it was too early to determine whether strong winds or a tornado were responsible for the damage. Credit: Brianna Cosby via Storyful

Turn my phone off.

I mean that we both made it out there too, man.

Do you not see that?

That whole roof is so that you could?

Oh, good.

My phone is dead.

Turn my phone, I mean the fact that we both made it out there too, man.

Do you not see that that whole roof hood is so that you could die?
